Phicultural & creative coaching

Cultural & Creative Coaching

The parts and the whole
in the right proportion.

Phi is named after the golden ratio φ, the proportion in which the parts and the whole find their balance. That is exactly what my work is about: bringing people, teams and organizations into the right relationship through intercultural understanding, systemic guidance and arts-based interventions.

The golden ratio1 : 1.618 · φ

Why Phi

φ, the measure in which things come into harmony

The golden ratio describes a proportion we perceive as harmonious in nature, art and architecture: the whole relates to the larger part as the larger part relates to the smaller. In organizations, we look for this balance between the individual and the team, between cultures, between structure and creativity.

Services

What I work with

Three fields of practice, one common thread: bringing people, cultures and organizations together so that change succeeds and feels right.

I

Intercultural Communication

Workshops, training and teaching on intercultural competence for companies, university teams and leaders. Practical, multilingual and experience-based.

  • Intercultural training & workshops
  • Coaching for international teams
  • University teaching & talks
II

Arts-Based Systemic Interventions

Creative interventions drawing on music, art and scenic work as door-openers for development, methodically grounded in my training at IKT München (Institute for Art and Therapy, Munich) and the Akademie der Kulturellen Bildung.

  • Arts-based coaching formats
  • Music & scenic methods
  • Creative strategy workshops
III

Leadership & Organizational Development

Supporting teams and leaders through change: strategy translation, workshop facilitation, team development. Systemic and people-centred.

  • Leadership coaching
  • Transformation support
  • Facilitation & team development

Qualifications

Phi stands for deepening & growth

I combine practice and teaching and deliberately deepen my craft through accredited, institution-based training programmes. Supervision and peer consultation are an integral part of how I work.

01

Coaching with Art-Therapeutic Methods

IKT Institut für Kunst und Therapie, Munich · training in progress

Experiential forms of learning in which artistic and psychological perspectives and ways of working come together.

02

Systemic Counselling (DGSF)

Akademie der Kulturellen Bildung · starting 2027, aiming for DGSF certification

An arts-based systemic approach: action-oriented methods, creative interventions, a systemic stance.

03

Cultural Economics (M.A.)

Universität Passau · 2020–2024

International Business (B.A.), IBAT College Dublin · Lecturer in intercultural competence at the University of Koblenz.

I work in accordance with the ethical guidelines of my institutes. What I offer is coaching, consulting and organizational development, not therapy. For first-time clients, I offer supervised formats within my training context (at a transparently reduced rate).

About me

Warm-hearted, ambitious and systemic at heart

I am Sophia Carvalho Werrstein, M.A. in Cultural Economics, and I work at the intersection of art, culture and organizations. My conviction: lasting transformation does not come from presentations, but from experiences: from encounter, creativity and genuine relationships. That is why I combine methodological depth (strategy, project management, HR) with artistic and systemic formats.

As a lecturer for “Management in a Global Context: Intercultural Competence” at the University of Koblenz, I pass this knowledge on. With my project Peace of Art (“Art creates peace”), I organize benefit concerts and art initiatives for non-profit organizations. And as a musician (Phiya Helena), I know the power of artistic work first-hand.
